Toxicogenomics Unit

Toxicogenomics Unit

Real-time PCR thermocycler in the Molecular Biology laboratory

This unit investigates the changes in gene and protein expression following exposure to chemicals or particles.

The molecular biology laboratory equips the Section to preform RNA and DNA isolation and purification, and real-time PCR for the analysis of gene expression following exposure. This unit also assesses apoptosis, and analyses protein and cytokine expression through ELISAs and Western Blotting.
