The NIOH library team would like to make you aware of a new resource ‘ The ORT booklet,’ which we have made available for you online for you to read as we thought would be of great interest and relevance in many different ways.
This booklet is a result of a work project by Naledi (a labour research organisation) and the IHRG (an organisation supporting workers’ health and safety) in the period between mid-2011 and early 2014. They undertook the project with the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (Satawu) and its organisers and shop stewards from the OR Tambo International Airport (ORT). Documented in the booklet is whole lot experience, what was done, the workshops (approaches used in the project ) challenges and successes and lastly lessons learnt.
This booklet is in reference to a recent publication of an International Transport Federation (ITF) booklet featuring the IHRG OH&S participant action research (PAR) methodology implemented in conjunction with Naledi, SATAWU and OR Tambo
